Volunteers are important in the care which Kuria offers in the hospice as well as in the buddy care. Volunteers like to offer a part of their time to their fellow human being. Based on this motivation and involvement they provide something special in the care for the other. Volunteers themselves experience it as a meaningful and good use of their spare time and at the same time it offers opportunities to unfold their capabilities.
Kuria requests from all whom are committed to this work that they do so from a Christian philosophy.
Volunteers are present at the hospice 24-hours a day. Volunteers can choose from different tasks like assisting in the care for the residents, preparing supper but also household activities and grocery shopping. Prior to setting of to work, volunteers will have to follow the kuria in home training. Through out the year, in depth trainings are being offered. For more information about the Kuria volunteer activities or to subscribe as volunteer please call: Netty de Haas, coordinator volunteers at 020 679 0797.
